Sustainable development operator

Consideration of the needs of sustainable development requires a radical change in our usual practices in terms of building design and operation.

This change of orientation criteria has led us to adopt a methodology built on the principle of continuous improvement based on the results of the initial analyses.

Whether it is a new construction or renovation – redevelopment, beforehand ALAMO undertakes an analysis of the site and the programme or the site and the existing building. The study lists the environmental, social and economic elements that could affect the project’s sustainability. From a clear, realistic and sound basis it allows us, with our clients, to identify the right direction for the project.

In sustainable development terms, it is expressed in the guiding principles for our action. We then transform them into concrete requirements that are evaluated at each phase of the project. If necessary these requirements are adjusted to more closely reflect our clients’ expectations.

The last stages of the project are given special attention not only in terms of the performances actually achieved but also with regard to all the arrangements for sustainable operation and understandable to the occupants.

The relationship between comfort and sustainable operation is a requirement that we systematically include in every project.

The success of our approach is assured by our capacity to constitute, assemble and organise multidisciplinary teams. ALAMO has specially trained in-house staff that understand the issues and can judge the level of performance of the services provided.
